SUMMARY:
Under the Direction of the Shift Supervisor this position directs the MSW and Tipping floor deliveries and maintaining storage. Operate the equipment assigned to the MSW and Tipping floor. Maintain operating logs, inspection and preventative maintenance. Starting and stopping of conveying and shredding equipment.
Operating and maintaining heavy equipment e.g. .but not limited to front end loaders skid steers, scissor lifts, fork lift and man lifts.
Cleaning, Housekeeping work area and equipment is a key component to the success of this candidate.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Coordinate with Shift Supervisor and Scale House Attendant, to maintain traffic and production flow.
 Maintain material flow being received in the Facility
 Operate, maintain and service front end loaders and bull dozers in a safe, efficient manner.
 Operate, maintain and service bobcats, forklifts, excavators, cranes, man-lifts, and other heavy equipment used to facilitate the operation.
 Responsible to perform regular equipment services and cleanings and supply supervision with daily documentation of services and operational checks.
 Perform daily preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, i.e. greasing, lubrication and minor repairs.
 Maintain a high level of housekeeping on the Receiving Floor and grounds of the facility.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision including but not limited to plant cleanup and/or operation, plant maintenance work
 Candidate will be required to participate in the operator qualification program


REQUIREMENTS (Education, Skills, Certificate, Licenses, Experience):

- Candidate should have a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience in material handling or a production background.
- Precision and dexterity necessary in using hand tools associated with operation maintenance, and to operate and maintain heavy equipment.
- Experienced in the operation of front end loaders, bull dozers, bobcats, forklifts, excavators, cranes, man-lifts, and other heavy equipment used to facilitate the operation.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge and ability to perform all of the required tasks of Utility OPERATOR.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures. Ability to write comprehensive logs.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to add subtract multiply and divide.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Must be able to walk, sit, climb, balance, crawl and kneel.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry.
• Must be able to feel, see, talk, and hear.
