The Facility Maintenance Manager is a member of the Facility’s Senior management team, reporting to the Facility Manager. 

The Maintenance Manager, must have the ability to work collaboratively with the facility management team, regional support, hourly employees and contractors. The manager must have the ability to create a culture where Safety is the #1 Priority.

The manager will be responsible for the overall management of facility mechanical, electrical & Instrument/Control activities. 

This includes long term planning & scheduling of all maintenance activities on boilers, turbines and associated equipment. The individual will be responsible for providing annual budgeting information and monthly forecasting up-dates. 

The individual will direct the mechanical supervisor/lead technicians and contractors on all daily and long term maintenance activities including prioritizing work activities, preventive maintenance scheduling, scheduled/unscheduled boiler, turbine generator outages and plant preservation projects. 

The individual must possess the ability to create an environment that empowers employees to drive change and improve systems. Be able to train employees on proper Maintenance work and trouble shooting skills.

E-f-W maintenance experience or a solid background in power and/or industrial plant maintenance including a minimum of 5 years supervisor experience to be considered for this position.

REQUIREMENTS (Education, Skills, Certificate, Licenses, Experience):

  • Maintenance management experience minimum 10 years applicable work experience in industrial facility equipment reliability centered maintenance engineering and or program management.
  • 5 years minimum maintenance supervision or reliability work experience in petro-chemical, utility, EFW or equal a requirement.
  • No limitations to working in industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of required and or former use of preferred of following are important for position skills:
    • Detail work/ job planning and work hazard analysis
    • Failure mode analysis and failure analysis techniques
    • Risk or criticality analysis for equipment or process
    • Industrial facility maintenance practices
    • Standard fault/ event tree construction and analysis
    • Knowledge of machinery vibration analysis methods, thermography, condition assessment via instrumentation and field experience performing each or other NDT methods.
  • Demonstrated experience in industry standard comprehensive reliability program such as TPM, RCM or other, (preferred).
  • Strong facility process understanding via P&IDs, drawings and specifications.
  • Safe working leadership.
  • Strong report writing skills and ability to commutate orally and in written format.
  • Strong ability to build team/culture at facilities/across the regions, (resource and best practice sharing)
  • Motivated, self-starter.


  • Technical or engineering training and minimum 10 years in industrial maintenance management.
  • Practical field experience involving equipment installation, maintenance, overhaul and operation.
  • Knowledge of steam plant operation, and reference knowledge of applicable standards Ex.: ASME, NBIC, NEC.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially with Excel (spreadsheets, modeling, and pivot tables), Outlook, and Access.
  • High level of knowledge and experience with maintenance management or asset management enterprise system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and easily with management/ employees at different levels of the organization.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of maintenance management experience in industrial maintenance and reliability engineering.
  • Practical skills such as welder, millwright, machinists, operator, etc. a plus. 


  • Operating facility environment with OSHA required PPE, safety training for areas of steam boiler and turbine – generator operation. Access to all areas of facility required as well as to confined spaces and respirator required areas.  .
