We seek a dedicated individual who will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of power plant systems including hydraulics, pumps, compressors, fans, and heavy equipment.  Routine day to day maintenance on machinery including hydraulics, compressors, fans, and heavy equipment.  Duties will include repairs to pressure parts and overlaying tubes while working in confined spaces and being able to work in extreme weather conditions and varying heights. Must be able to fabricate guards, structures and other miscellaneous assignments.  Must be able to stick weld, code weld, and perform other welding duties, as assigned. Upon acceptance of the position, the candidate will have 6 months to satisfactorily complete the Covanta GPiLearn Mechanical Maintenance Lessons and Exams.

High School Diploma/GED is required.  The Mechanic Welder requires 3-5 years experience in industrial stick welding skills and the ability to be certified in ASME code pipe welding within 6 months.  Individual must be able to show the ability to stick weld, code weld and perform other welding duties, as needed.  Military and/or formal technical training is a plus.
