We seek a dedicated individual who will be responsible for performing various mechanical, maintenance and repair work including the inspection and maintenance work required for rotating machinery and equipment. The mechanic may inspect and adjust the mechanical alignment of pumps, replace or rebuild pumps, replace fan bearings, replace motors, repair screw conveyors, rebuild or change gearboxes, install and modify pipe lines, and assist in the modification and addition of plant projects.

Perform various maintenance and repair work as assigned using proper safety practices.

Inspect, adjust, totally rebuild, laser align, balance and level pumps, fans and other rotating machinery as required.

Perform preventive maintenance tasks on all plant mechanical equipment. 

Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic problems and complete all maintenance work records.   

Actively participate in plant shutdown work including tear down and inspection of all mechanical and electrical plant equipment.  

Take an active part in the vibration and oil analysis programs. 

Required being on call on rotating basis.   Work overtime based on plant needs

Keeps work area and tools in clean, safe and orderly manner.  Perform plant and shop housekeeping chores.

Follow all company procedure and safety policies.

Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Supervisor

Duties require frequent and extended periods of outside and inside work, subject to all weather conditions and extremes; continuous walking, standing, climbing and frequent periods requiring sustained uncomfortable physical positions; regular and sustained periods of strenuous physical exertion, requiring the ability to lift, carry and position heavy objects utilizing proper body mechanics and techniques; operation of tools and equipment which cause loud noise and vibrations.

Applicants must have at least three (3) years experience in the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment. A high school diploma and valid drivers license is a must. Formal technical or apprenticeship training is desired. Must be fluent in reading blue prints and P&ID's.
