We seek a dedicated individual who will perform general housekeeping, and preventative and corrective maintenance.  This individual will work on a rotating on-call schedule to support plant operations during equipment breakdowns.  Duties include performing inspections, upkeep and inventory of the shop safety equipment, bandsaws, drill presses, hoists, cum-a-longs, slings, chokers, shackles/pins and ladders as well as rigging ladders and scaffolding.  Performing preventative maintenance inspections on conveyor belt, drag, apron and screw, and on all other operating equipment is required as well as lubricating equipment.  This individual will inspect and repairs/replaces crane cables and internal trammel.  Job duties include taking measurement readings using tapes, rulers, squares, levels and feeder gages to determine repair particulars.  Candidate will read, interpret and utilize stores catalog and equipment manuals for technical clarification and requisitioning parts and material. Operating computer to access Maintenance Management program for equipment history and work order review, both corrective and preventive is necessary.

 


To be considered for this position the individual must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training in similar situation.  Internal candidates must have completed qualification standards for prior position in company’s line of progression.
