As the Manager Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineering, this position will offer the opportunity to work with facility operating personnel and corporate engineers in a variety of I&C related design and modification activities. Specifically, the Manager of I&C will have responsibilities in two primary areas:
Supporting the ongoing technical needs of a fleet of forty one (41) operating Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities. Responsibilities include coordinating all activities in executing controls system upgrades, replacing obsolete systems, as well as in investigating, trouble-shooting and solving a wide variety of controls engineering hardware and software issues.
Providing engineering guidance and oversight to new facility design and construction efforts. Responsibilities include interfacing closely with third party engineering firms in developing control system architecture, specifications, control strategies Binary and SAMA diagram logic. Additionally, the position is responsible for providing field construction support, instrumentation installation compliance, as well as start-up and commissioning support
of Process Control Systems.
In both areas, the successful candidate will coordinate and lead all efforts to ensure that projects are properly designed and installed to comply with all specifications and facility requirements and to ensure that they are completed on time and on budget. A strong emphasis on I&C innovation and incorporating plant automation strategies for purposes of improving plant operations and reducing costs are highly desired for this position.
