  • Responsible for material inspection of Profiled Waste deliveries into Covanta's Indianapolis EfW facility.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure material compliance

  • Document all discrepancies and communicate with customer support team to resolve problems.

  • Facilitate a solution-oriented approach to discrepancy resolution and long-term compliance. 

  • Identify and catalog waste processing issues and develop strategic long-term solutions with customer centric approach.

  • Complete inspection log and manage results.


  • Experience implementing and modifying SOPs

  • Must be able to identify compliance infractions and manage response and resolution.

  • Work in waste receiving/tipping floor environment. Ability to move drums and other containers, able to climb in an out of fork truck as necessary.

  • OSHA Training or related safety training

  • HAZWOPER training, RCRA Boot Camp or related training

  • Able to work second shift from 1pm-9pm weekdays.  Some overtime may be required.


  • BS or BA in Environmental Science; degree in Chemistry or Biology a plus

  • Technical experience in materials management and or logistics

  • Excel competency or related platforms
