A committed individual who will be responsible for industrial painting and preservation projects on a day to day basis. The Industrial Painter, reporting to the Operations Day Supervisor and  will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and materials according to Covanta’s policies, selecting paint according to facility color scheme, prep work, post job site clean-up, and other duties as required.


•To be considered for this position you must have a HS diploma or equivalent coupled with at least 3 years of experience as an industrial painter.
•Strong oral and written communication skills and problem solving ability.
•Fully trained to use spray rig/gun system, sandblasting equipment, chipping hammer, grinder and forklift.
•Trained to disassemble spray rig/gun system and sandblasting equipment for cleaning.
•Able to determine proper surface profiles.
•Capable of interpreting and following manufacturers paint specifications.
•Knowledgeable of working with materials and surfaces such as metal, brick, wood, plaster and concrete.
•Able to work at heights without fear.
•Knowledgeable of paint and chemical application techniques.
•Knowledgeable of erecting scaffolding and ladders.
