Located at the Montgomery County Solid Waste Transfer Station in Derwood MD, we seek an energetic and dedicated individual to fill the role of Tipping Floor Attendant. In this position, the Tipping Floor Attendant is stationed at the entrance to the Tipping Building and is the initial contact point for all incoming traffic. The Tipping Floor Attendant greets all vehicles in a professional and courteous manner and queries the drivers to determine the type of waste being delivered for proper placement on the floor. Vehicles are then directed into the building in a controlled manner at the direction of the Equipment Operators on the Tipping Floor. The Tipping Floor Attendant also completes periodic inspections of the incoming waste to ensure strict compliance with the Transfer Station's Solid Waste Permit. When not on the Tipping Floor, the Tipping Floor Attendant also works outside the Building directing traffic to the various areas of the Transfer Station. In addition to traffic control and waste inspection responsibilities, the Tipping Floor Attendant is also responsible to complete daily Site housekeeping and clean-up activities.

The schedule for this position is 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and every other Saturday.
