Under general supervision, responsible for specific segments of the mine operation and mine design. Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice. Work requires general knowledge of local precedents. Skilled in GPS surveying techniques. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing PPE. Performs other duties and activities as directed. Engineering degree required. Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center’s viability or its quality of service via personal contributions. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent and 2 years of experience in minerals processing which includes experience in drilling, pit/haulroad design, GPS, and Autocad. Must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions.
