Under broad direction, optimizes account potential by directing activity of the account team.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maximizes and sustains profitability of the client and market penetration/share by matching the total array of the company's technical, commercial and operational capabilities to the client's needs.
  • Develops working relationships with client's management.
  • Identifies and accesses resources required to serve client's current and future needs.
  • The Account Leader will work closely with District/Country/Area Sales Manager and Account Manager in developing a comprehensive business and/or Account Plan
  • Responsible for developing relationships and positioning the company throughout the customer hierarchy
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of assigned customer resource plays, basins, economic drivers, operational and technology requirements
  • Maximizes revenue and profitability of Halliburton PSL targets and customer asset profitability
  • Positions and leverage technologies and solutions within customer organization.
  • Prices proposals with PSL strategies and pricing guidelines
  • Identifies and accesses resources required to serve client's current and future needs
  • Active Halliburton member for customer Service Quality reviews, including illustrating value propositions and EVCs
  • Active member of the Account team and liaises with Account Manager, if a managed account
  • Coordinates with Account Manager on implementation of cross Product Service Line (PSL) strategies
  • Identifies One Halliburton opportunities to other PSL and Business Units
  • Gathers customer intelligence in support of Account Plans and Business Plans
  • Develops full analysis of local customer account for feeding into Account, Region and PSL strategies
  • Through application of the Green Sheet Methodology, adopt a professional approach in line with Halliburton standards
  • Through application of the Blue Sheet methodology, conducts analyses and creates action plans for opportunity pursuit.
  • Authorized to resolve customer disputes
  • Active involvement in Correction Prevention, and Improvement (CPI); Performance Improvement Initiatives (PII); and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes
  • Gathers and communicates intelligence on competitors and customer strategies
  • Works to continually improve receivables



  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or similar disciplines
  • 8 years of related sales experience handling revenue scope in the range of $20 - 100 M.
