Under broad direction, the Marketing Supervisor is able to define and deliver high-level, strategic solutions that result in the successful promotion of Halliburton’s brand and products and services. The role works with specific groups in corporate marketing and communications, and the marketing teams within the regions, divisions and product service lines to develop, implement, maintain and report on marketing programs that have the potential to directly influence Halliburton’s bottom line around the world.


Job Responsibilities


This role provides the messaging for a specific product line(s) within the Baroid portfolio.  This position will be responsible for conceiving and developing innovative marketing programs that drive demand and increase sales velocity for existing and new technologies.  The ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer benefits is crucial.  This function requires the ability to understand our buyers and how they buy. 


Key responsibilities

  • Develop product positioning and messaging  that differentiates our products in the market
  • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of their products
  • Product launch – plan and execute the launch of new products and releases to the organization and to the market
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition
  • Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for their products




This position is able to work independently in many cases to independently support or direct a team on assigned projects for regions, service lines or divisions in one or more defined areas of expertise, including: Advertising, Branding, Events, Divisional and Regional Marketing, Technical Marketing and the Web. The Marketing Supervisor is able to work comfortably with middle and senior management levels in order to plan, develop and execute multiple major programs and campaigns simultaneously. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications or Liberal Arts and minimum of 10 years of experience in Marketing of which 5 preferably includes experience in Halliburton or another oil and gas service company along with significant high-level people and project supervisory experience.



Completion of a graduate degree in Business (MBA) preferred.
