Under broad direction of the management team, the PDC helps to enable service excellence and customer satisfaction by coordinating, competency development, training and guidance to personnel across the product line.


This role will require travel in Europe as required and experience in slickline is an advantage.




  • Primary responsibility is coordination and monitoring of the Competency Programme.  The PDC assists frontline leaders and operations management in tracking competency shortfalls and proactively developing personnel for upcoming operational and client requirements.


  • Ensures compliance with all applicable HSE, radiation and explosives trainings and keeps abreast of statutory requirements.


  • Liaises both internally and externally to ensure client training and competency requirements are met whether dictated by Halliburton or relevant external stake holder.


  • Monitors the ‘next step’ that Product Service Line (PSL) personnel are required to take in their progression.  The PDC mentors them in technical competency and development in support of proper succession management.


  • Maintains an oversight of any internal training undertaken by location Field Employee Development Coordinator (FEDCs) to ensure that such entries are tracked and maintained in the Halliburton System.


  • Liaises with external bodies in the provision of specific and specialist training.


  • Coordinates integrated / cross training between sub-PSLs as required.


  • Assists Human Resources and operations with hiring and coordinates the on-boarding process for new employees.


  • In concert with Human Resources, the PDC assists employees and frontline managers with familiarity and use of the development tools (Employee Development Hub, Check-ins, Talent Profiles, Development Plans, Leadership Compass etc.).


    Secondary responsibilities include:


  • Promotion of safety and service quality performance including use of the Halliburton Management System (HMS).


  • Input on the maintenance and submission of documents into HMS – as required.



  • Helps to review performance data to identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement.


  • Assists the FSMs (as required) in the investigation and performs follow-up activities on unplanned events and/or jobs.  Assists in CPI, TapRoot, 5-Why and closure of any client concerns – including both HSE and SQ matters.


  • Assists Reliability Manager in Europe Area auditing and follow-up - as required.


  • Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in production and operations management, industrial engineering, or similar disciplines and technical experience.  Sufficient experience in a wireline & perforating technical role (or similar) and/or coordination of competencies may be substituted in lieu of undergraduate degree requirement.
  • Experience in slickline is an advantage but not essential. 
  • Must be available to travel and work throughout Europe as required.
